As of 3:30 this afternoon, I became a homeowner. The nerves were definitely there, knowing I was taking on this endeavor on my own. The past year has been full of ups and downs. I do feel content about the whole situation and that makes my heart happy.
Downsizing by 1075 feet has me feeling a bit overwhelmed. Where am I going to put all of my stuff? Will there be enough room for the dogs to run around? Can I fix this? Where should I put that? Over the past few days, I have been able to move all of my belongings and have began the decorating process. I keep telling myself that the long to-do list doesn't have to be accomplished overnight, though I wish it could!
Through the whole move I have found that I have an AMAZING support system. They are making sure that all of the electrical is good, replacing what isn't, and making sure that I am completely fine with every detail. A year ago, I thought I was losing so much. Today I realize that I have gained more than I could have ever imagined. I am happy. I have my smile back. I am free.
I can't wait to update the blog with renovations of the new house. The Calvert Casa is my sweet little 825 sq. ft. home. Me and Murphy and Franklin are sure to fill this place with sweet memories. I so appreciate all of the kind words, prayers, and well wishes from all of those who mean so much to me.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Seeing how I have spent the last 15 years in the same size space as your going into, I can honestly say that once you get used to the small size you'll never want any bigger!
ReplyDeleteHouse is looking great!
